Really happy with recent purchase of KATA MC-61 GDC Multi CASE

I saw an amazing price for a camcorder carrying case that was listed for nearly twice the price in many other locations on the web than what I paid for it thru AMAZON.
When it arrived, I was even more amazed -- It was in perfect condition and had everything in the way of added features for the low price I paid. Delivery was speedy and as promised
I made the original purchase on the basis of Amazon's Merchant review system ratings on WILLOUGHBY's from former customers....
I'm really happy with the CASE and the Process -- The case was a lifesaver..... The service and the experience were excellent !!!!!!!

Big & Roomy! Rugged!

This is a large, rugged, well-built equipment case. A person can adapt this case to carry a wide variety of electronic & photographic equipment. Using the Kata yelloop dividers, I can easily pack my Hasselblads & P67 gear in a variety of configurations and with the optional trolley, I am good-to-go. An earlier reviewer complained about the exterior design of the case, and I would agree that it is not easily jammed into tight aircraft spaces on all airlines. It is by definition "a multi-case" and holds a lot of heavy gear in a weather resistant shell. Likewise, loading it and putting it on my shoulder would be folley; hence the trolley option.
If you are looking for a flexible carry solution for a lot of bulky camera equipment, this is an option. I have other Kata bags and find them very rugged, easy to reconfigure when needed and a good value over the longer term. |

| Absolutely first rate camera/video camera case. It would probably survive an earthquake or direct lightning strike. One problem, though, it is too large to fit in the overhead compartment of a plane and I wouldn't trust it to survive airline checked baggage. |
Won't fit in airline overhead compartments

When I purchased this product I had no idea that the size and shape would be such that it absolutely won't fit in any overhead compartment, on any airline.
Why would Kata manufacture a bag like that? I mean let's face it, this is a soft semi-rugged bag, which means it was made for keeping in your posession. You can't check it or it would be destroyed, so if you can't check it and you can't carry it on, what are you supposed to do with it?
If it wasn't for this fact, the bag seems OK. But it's such a critical flaw that I can't recommend it to anyone, and Amazon is getting mine back. |
